Association Activity Report

As usual, community activity did slow down a bit in the summertime. There always tends to be a peak in work before the holidays which means less voluntary work for the TYPO3 community since we all have to keep our clients happy. Not only are they the ones paying for regular jobs, they're also one of the driving forces behind TYPO3 development, since a lot of it is part of a paid project, and is thus indirectly sponsored by clients. Plus, let us not forget they do sponsor 5.0 development by being supporting member of the TYPO3 Association. So thank you all for your continuing support, we could not do without it!

TYPO3 Association Activity Report

Following the effort leading up to the release of TYPO3 version 4.0, the core developers have taken a well-earned leave, only recently returning to address the tasks ahead, paving the way to version 4.5 and 5.0. Futhermore, while the event committee is working hard, a new start has been made to revive the communication committee. Below, you find out what exactly we have been up to until now, as well as details about our plans for the near future. We look forward to welcoming you in the many teams already available, also hoping that new ones will emerge from the community during the next few months.

The Snowboard Tour has passed with 5 days of sunshine and the all new TYPO3 logo flying on our flags, as if celebrating the release of version 4.0. This first version of TYPO3 to be developed and released under the aegis of the TYPO3 Association is as much the long-awaited completion of many long-term developments, as it is a proof for the case of the Association as the governing body of TYPO3 development in general.
