We are looking for:

We are looking for a full-time employee for a temporary position as Senior Marketing Manager Central Europe (m/f) for our office in Unterföhring near Munich. After a successful given period of time, the employment contract could be made permanent.

Position Responsibilities


Report to the Senior Marketing Director for EMEA, the Senior Marketing Manager must be able to complete a wide range of activities requiring clear communication, people management, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail! The Senior Marketing Manager must work well under pressure, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all strategic and operational marketing activities for the Central European Region.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute a very clear marketing strategy aligned with current market storage trends in the region and in full agreement with the Senior Marketing Director for EMEA, the Sales Director for Central Europe and the Central Europe Distribution Manager.
  • Manage the Central Europe Marketing and Channel Budget spent in alignment with the marketing strategy and initiatives.
  • Support, facilitate and track the development, execution and success of marketing plans for all major distributors and Gold Partners.
  • Build a sales pipeline by creating and driving new demand generation initiatives targeting existing and new end-user prospects, including acquisition, nurture and retention tactics; to create best-in-class automated demand generation campaigns.
  • Deliver the DataCore value proposition clearly and confidently to current and prospect customers, distributors and channel resellers. Deep technical knowledge is not required but a general product understanding is necessary. A good understanding of the storage market and virtualization industry will also be considered a significant asset.
  • Create and nurture internal sales relations and alignment. Understand DataCore sales requirements and focus marketing activities to support the sales organization to drive end customer and channel demand.
  • Work closely with Key Account Managers to create, develop and execute strategic activities to penetrate into selected Key Accounts.
  • Coordinate with the EMEA Marketing Team to ensure all necessary marketing material like collateral, presentations, case studies and relevant information, required to support internal DataCore Sales Teams, is available.
  • Drive integrated marketing campaigns from inception to optimization and work daily and closely with ISRs to insure successful follow-ups.
  • Develop, support, organize, manage and drive all DataCore internal, channel- and customer-focussed events.
  • In cooperation with the local agency manage all PR and social media activities for Central Europe.


  • At least 10 years of background/experience in similar position
  • Degree required, preferably in Event Management, Marketing or related field
  • Experience in the IT industry beneficial
  • Excellent German and English skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
