IT Project Manager (m/f) - Energy Trading and Risk (ETRM)


  • You ensure maintenance, expansion of existing and build-up of new Energy Economics Solutions for businesses across different countries
  • You actively initiate, plan and execute projects using different software development methodologies (preferably agile)
  • You manage planning, quality, scope and costs of delivery projects, providing full transparency throughout the project lifecycle
  • You prepare and track task plans for diverse teams
  • You analyse and resolve issues, determine root causes, seek and provide effective and endurable solutions through possible enhancements
  • You manage communication and reporting regarding system stability and Level 3/BAU support activities and monitor quality and stability
  • You work together with Business users in different countries, identify appropriate solutions and apply PM methodologies
  • You closely align, take guidance from and provide feedback to IT peers in IT functions.
  • You drive and enhance support processes, delivery excellence and continuous improvement activities,
  • You actively promote knowledge sharing and build-up of internal IT expertise and skills


  • Academic degree or equivalent professional qualification
  • Hands on experience in a Project Management role, with direct involvement in medium/large sized IT implementation projects, certification in project management (e.g. PMP) is a plus
  • Experience with ETRM systems (like Allegro) and cloud based implementation projects is a plus
  • Proven operational experience of working in an Energy Trading environment
  • Strong analytical and structured way of thinking, high organisational skills and IT affinity
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team. Willingness to accept responsibility
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills: Facilitating workshops, presenting to senior stakeholders, conflict resolution
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in German or other languages is a plus
  • Willingness to travel on a regular basis to Business regions and Essen (department location)
