Marketing Manager (m/f/d)

Topps' leading sports and entertainment products include Bundesliga, UEFA Champions League, Disney Star Wars, WWE, Major League Baseball, National Football League and other trading cards, sticker album collections and collectibles. Topps' has offices around the world, including Germany/Frankfurt.

Topps is growing, and therefore our client is planning to hire talents with focus on Marketing for the Frankfurt office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall Marketing lead DACH and CEE for all licenses with focus on Bundesliga
  • Lead the development of the 3 year product release plan in cooperation with Editorial and the markets
  • Create the DACH marketing activation plan for Bundesliga and lead the global marketing activation
  • Create the forecast of sales volume with sales team and profitability targets with finance team
  • Work with DACH and global sales to identify the SKUs needed for maximum revenue while minimizing SKU proliferation and COGS
  • Deliver the forecasted revenue and profit within the approved budget
  • Interact with consumers, retailers, and distributors to understand their desires and the driv-ers of product purchase behaviour
  • Interact with clubs to establish/develop the business relationship
  • Liaise with FMCG partners to build business
  • Partner with Editorial / creative team to assist in the review and approval of designs for each brand
  • Interact with consumers, retailers, and distributors to understand their desires and the driv-ers of product purchase behaviour
  • Marketing collection lead and supporting projects in DACH and CEE

Responsibilities within DACH region:

  • marketing collection lead & projects (UCL, Disney Star Wars and further entertain-ment brands)
  • project tasks (Bundesliga DACH, Bundesliga international)
  • Responsibilities within CEE markets: Poland, Russia, Czech, Romania, Ukraine
  • regular distributor contact and stock management all channels
  • regular bottom-up volume planning & EPOS & shipment tracking
  • Further projects involved: publisher partnerships, website, social media

Skills & Competencies

  • 3-5 years of professional experience (marketing, brand or product management)
  • FMCG experience expected, experience in sales and trade marketing is a plus
  • Solid business and product development background
  • Consumer products experience preferred, toy products is a plus

Miscellaneous

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Bundesliga teams and players, both current and historical
  • Knowledge of UEFA CL, WWE, Star Wars is a plus
  • Knowledge of trading cards and sticker & album collections is a plus
  • Understanding and knowledge of latest consumer trends, especially for children
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously in fast-paced team environment
  • Proven ability to multi-task, juggle multiple projects and effectively determine priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – written and oral
  • Expertise in MS-Office – especially PowerPoint and Excel – is mandatory
  • Proficient in German and English, other CEE languages are a plus
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically while also being able to execute flawlessly
